Edward Lukasik, Jr.

Broker/Owner
RE/MAX Professionals

After just 15 years in the industry, RE/MAX Professionals Broker/Owner Edward Lukasik, Jr. has earned nearly every honor, accolade, and award the industry offers. He was named the No. 1 RE/MAX agent in Illinois for most closed transactions in 2015, and received the company’s prestigious Diamond Club Award that year for exceeding $1 million in gross commission. He sold more homes in Will County than any other Realtor last year, and the company recognized him among its Top 30 agents nationwide. In addition, Lukasik Jr. is a RE/MAX Hall of Fame member, Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, and five-time Chairman Club member.

Lukasik Jr. was showing entrepreneurial instincts as early as age 16. He says he always wanted to work for himself. “I knew the harder I worked, the bigger payoff I could have,” he explains. Real estate, he goes on to say, allows him to set and attain his goals without limits, so Lukasik Jr. embraces every opportunity available to make a mark on the industry. He was one of the state’s top real estate owned (REO) brokers during the recession, largely because he monitored and quickly adjusted to market trends when real estate took a downward spiral. His ongoing analysis has since prompted him to become strictly a listing agent, leveraging his expertise in both marketing and traditional home sales.

Lukasik Jr’s talent for analyzing trends and transitioning his focus accordingly have helped him recognize opportunities like his purchase of two RE/MAX franchises – one in Bolingbrook and one in Burr Ridge – during the economic downturn. “I was preparing for the crash in the early 2000s during the boom period, so I was able to shift into the REO segment when the crash hit,” he recalls. “That also prepared me to purchase the franchises and thrive when other offices in my area were closing.”

A member of the Five Star Institute’s Federation of REO Certified Experts, National Association of Realtors, Realtor Association of West/South Suburban Chicagoland, and National REO Brokers Association, Lukasik Jr. aspires to one day purchase his dream car and enjoy life on the beach, but his desire to excel is what motivates him. “We live in the greatest country in the world where you can have it all even if you started out with just a little; I don’t take that for granted,” he says. “The United States gives every person the chance to be anything you want. I always say if you’re going to do something, then give 100 percent of yourself or it’s not worth doing. That’s the motto I live by, and the reason I give everything my all.”
