Jane Lee possesses a drive and determination that are as impressive as they are inspirational. Not many can boast undergraduate and graduate credentials in chemical engineering and computer science. Earning degrees in such rigorous areas of study well prepared this No. 1 Realtor in Lake County for her role as president of RE/MAX Top Performers, a brokerage of more than 30 agents and industry experts. Together, Lee and her team have earned and sustain a stellar reputation as one of the most successful firms in the country, as evidenced by their average annual sales volume, which ranges from $100 million to $174 million.

Lee engaged in extensive training before launching her own agency in 2000 so that she could learn as much as possible about what buyers and sellers both need and want. “I worked as a buyer’s agent for 10 years before starting RE/MAX Top Performers, so I know what to look for in the agents I employ and I know what buyers and sellers expect when it comes to real estate,” she explains. In addition to her on-the- job training, Lee sharpened her skills by acquiring designations like Certified Residential Specialist, Certified Distressed Property Expert and Certified Investor Agent Specialist. Her expertise in those areas enables her team to provide comprehensive representation in all aspects of real estate, including the purchase of investment, rental and commercial property as well as guidance for those involved in short sales and real estate owned purchases.

In addition to its Lake County ranking, RE/MAX Top Performers holds the distinctions of No. 1 RE/ MAX team in Northern Illinois, No. 11 RE/MAX team in the U.S. and No. 18 RE/MAX team worldwide. Much of this success, she says, is due to deep knowledge of the market coupled with unparalleled tenacity. “I’m a strong negotiator because I’m relentless!” Lee makes clear. “I’m an expert on the market and I know what a home should sell for, so I won’t back down if the price isn’t right. An active supporter of civic and community affairs, Lee also mentors Chinese-American youth to motivate them to set and attain immediate and long-term goals. She herself exemplifies success and is the ideal person to encourage others, but Lee nonetheless recognizes that true achievement requires identifying one’s calling and pursuing it. After all, that is what she did. “I have to have a career that I’m passionate about and I have that thanks to real estate. It’s the first thing on my mind when I wake up and the last thing I think about before I go to sleep. This business is in my blood!”
