Century 21 McMullen
Dympna Fay-Hart laughs when asked what makes her stand out most among other Realtors. “My name!” exclaims the daughter of Irish immigrants who owned a real estate franchise in which she worked as a child. But in all seriousness, the 22-year Century 21 McMullen veteran believes that her tenure in the industry attests to the power of her commitment to “work hard in silence and let my success be my noise.” Like her mother, a woman she describes as her mentor and ahead of her time, Fay- Hart knows that perseverance pays off in the long-term for both her and her clients. “At the end of the day, it’s about the connection that people feel to you.”
Serving an array of buyers and sellers whose needs and interests vary, Fay-Hart’s goal is to highly educate them about what to expect throughout the real estate process rather than to pressure them to make an uninformed decision. Her previous work in philanthropy, she explains, helps her create “an amazing sphere of influence” that unites people and achieves consensus, which puts clients at ease during what could otherwise be an anxiety-ridden process. Even when problems arise, she is able to calmly guide them through the next steps necessary by reassuring them and offering sage counsel.
Fay-Hart’s training efforts also extend to her peers in real estate as she is a certified coach who facilitates seminars and podcasts on topics like developing a winning business plan and effectively maximizing time. Her repertoire of best practices earned her induction into the Century 21 International Hall of Fame in 2008, an honor reserved for just two agents each year out of the company’s 170,000 Realtors worldwide. Her family, she points out, has always motivated and encouraged her. “My husband is my biggest cheerleader, think tank and therapist, while my three children inspire me because they have grown into responsible and generous adults,” says Fay-Hart. “And my 88 year-old father never ceases to amaze me with his positive outlook on life.”
Like those she lauds, Fay-Hart herself is certainly a role model. As the creator of Century 21 McMullen’s Support Our Troops campaign, she spearheaded a community collection of the 10 most requested items of soldiers serving overseas. She and her brokerage also support Easter Seals, the New Hope Community Food Pantry and Toys for Tots. So while she will no doubt be remembered for her extraordinary name, Dympna Fay-Hart will always be known for her professional achievements and personal dedication to improving others’ quality of life.
