Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Hinsdale, and I lived in many other towns, as well. I am very familiar with Chicagoland, from the south suburbs to the northwest suburbs.
Growing up, what did you want to be?
In high school I wanted to be an attorney, enrolling in business law courses. Early on, I always had a desire to be a Realtor, starting in my early 20s. If I look back to my childhood journal, it says figure ice skater.
What do you love most about the industry?
Touring homes, learning about them and working with many people to help them successfully achieve one of the biggest and most exciting goals in their life. Negotiating is also great. I love the entire process, to be honest.
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
I value my communication style, negotiating skills and close friendships.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Being a Realtor means I need to mostly depend on myself to get the job done.
What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
Show your friends and family that they can trust you as a Realtor so they will be comfortable asking you to list and/or help buy their dream home. Then you will receive referrals.
What has been your greatest accomplishment?
Raising a wonderful son who is kind.
What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you?
I love art. Photography is one of my hobbies.
In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?
Do not give up. Just keep trying until you’ve reached your goal.
What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
Friendly house pets hiding.
What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
Southern California, near Carlsbad and Vista, in San Diego. I lived here just shy of six months, and it has a special place in my heart. My why is the ocean and vibes.
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Chicago?
Chicago Water Tower and the John Hancock Tower.
What’s your favorite meal in Chicago?
RPM Steak or The Purple Pig restaurant
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
Spa: hot tub, cold bath, steam room, sauna, REPEAT.
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
A person from Bible times, because that would be amazing.
