Originally from the Philippines, Dio Delfino worked for a Chicago-based IT consulting firm for 16 years. With a growing family, he turned to real estate as a promising option. “It was very tough to start this new career as I am introverted by nature,” he admits. “I built my network from rental clients turned first-time homebuyers, and eventually worked with listings and investors.” Some of his initial clients were, like him, immigrants fulfilling the American dream of homeownership.
As founding broker of the Delfino Group of Keller Williams ONEChicago, Delfino is recognized for his knowledge, responsiveness, professionalism and effective communication skills. He prioritizes networking, staying up-to-date with the latest market trends and maintaining a social media presence. “I show my sincerity in creating value and providing quality service for my clients,” he explains. “I impart as much expertise as possible in every transaction that I do and continue client engagement beyond closing.” With a diverse network outside Chicago, clients and referrals span from Washington, California, Missouri, Texas and his former homeland, the Philippines.
Keller Williams ONEChicago has recognized Delfino as a top 20% producing agent for three consecutive years, and Five Star Professional designated him a Rising Star agent in 2023. He also volunteers for Keller Williams’ RED Day and Fairway Mortgage’s Breakthrough Food Pantry’s restocking efforts in East Garfield Park. Delfino co-organizes the Filipino-based holiday tradition of “Simbang Gabi” at Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church in Arlington Heights with his wife, Cherina, and both are involved in the Catholic family ministry. With a young son diagnosed with congenital heart disease, Delfino supports awareness efforts through Lurie’s Children’s Hospital’s Cardiac Care Unit.
An avid sports card investor on the side, Delfino is proud to be a stay-at-home dad for his ‘school-bus’ crew of four: Carmen (11), Kyle (7), Carson (3) and Kelsey (2).
