Millennials almost caught up to Gen X homebuyers in this year’s survey, representing 38% of clients of agents surveyed. Gen X still maintained its lead as the top homebuyer generation at 41%. This year, we asked if the high crime rate has impacted agents’ businesses, and 57% said it had. Thirty-four percent of respondents said crime was the biggest reason — along with the work-from-home trend, which also got 34% — their clients are leaving the city.
