Where did you grow up? Germany

Growing up, what did you want to be? A professional soccer player

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Walt Disney: He had a dream and created a business empire.

Where is your favorite place to hang out? I love being in the mountains, whether that’s Colorado or the Alps.

What do you love most about the industry? It is never boring. Every day is different and exciting. I also love that you determine your own destiny. You get as much out as you put in.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? Clients love my personal attention to every detail.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? Unrealistic expectations

What has been your greatest accomplishment? Establishing a new life in a foreign country at the age of 22, both professionally and personally. I have now been married for 21 years and am most proud of my 12-year-old daughter and my 10-year-old son.

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? “Nocturnal Animals” was really twisted, but a great movie.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Chicago? My son and I really like the Crain Communications Building at Michigan and Randolph.

What is your favorite city after Chicago? Prague, Czech Republic, and Munich, Germany — equally

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? Work hard and stay honest. The learning never ends.
