Agent Snapshot: Kate Waddell, Senior Vice President of Sales/Broker Associate, Jameson Sotheby's International Realty

What was your first job in the realty industry? I went to work for the Chris Feurer team, who was the No. 1 team in the city at the time. I learned how to hustle from the pros!

Where did you grow up? Arizona.

Growing up, what did you want to be? I had no idea. I didn’t really figure it out until I was 25.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? Work out. Go out with friends. Drink a glass of wine.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Jim Gaffigan, because he makes me laugh so hard!

Where is your favorite place to hang out? At home. Total homebody!

What do you love most about the industry? Being able to help people navigate through selling or buying what is typically their largest asset is rewarding, even 10 years later.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I pride myself on working harder than anyone in the business. I always make sure my clients’ experience is top-notch.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? Sometimes clients get very emotional about their purchase or sale, so it is at times difficult to help guide them through what can be an arduous process.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients? I am constantly meeting clients through past clients, so I would say through those circles of friends and clients!

What has been your greatest accomplishment? Brooks, my son! Born six months ago!

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? “Girl, Wash Your Face.” Love self-improvement books!
