Alright geeks, your issue has arrived once again. Twice a year, we roll out all that nerdy tech stuff, because we know it makes some of you drool. For those of you who aren’t as interested, grab a local dweeb and start getting interested. Or pay someone to be your full-time tech-head, like I do.

Joe Catalbiano of Guaranteed Rate somehow managed to snag the honor of throwing out the first pitch at a White Sox game on Sept. 8. It probably had something to do with the fact that the company he works at shares the same name as the baseball field.

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage recently acquired City Point Realty: According to the announcement, the “talented group of real estate professionals” will be operating at the Coldwell Banker Lincoln Park office at 1910 Clybourn. So if you see someone from City Point at the water cooler over in LP, be sure to say hi and chat about your favorite TV program.

Word is Josh Lipton and Tim Brigham made a pact that if they break their sales goal, Tim will get a Lipton tattoo. First question: Does Tim have any empty skin left for a new tattoo? Second question: When you have that many tattoos, is it really a big deal to get one more?

Greg Pekarsky and his wife are expecting a baby girl in February! Nice job with the cute Instagram announcement; they captured a snapshot of their dog reading a book about being a big brother. If they can teach a dog to read, then I think they’ll be great parents.

Guys, I have big news. Nick Libert was spotted wearing white after Labor Day. Was it a mistake, or is he making a daring wardrobe decision? You decide.

Adam McLain gave a sneak peek of the new Compass Mortgage office on Washington by posting an Instagram video tour. Did Adam make the video, or did he count on his tech geek?

On Sept. 14, the Godfrey Hotel held an event in honor of its soon-to-be neighbor, Bentham. Their residences are located where “the bustling scene of River North meets the iconic elegance of the Gold Coast,” which I learned from their website. Marketing gold!

Draper & Kramer decided to have a company BBQ and bags day on Sept. 15. Perhaps they’ve had such a successful summer that they can afford to spend a day playing in the sun instead of working. I’m just jealous I wasn’t invited.

RE/MAX broker/owners enjoyed a retreat in Lake Geneva. I picture a lot of ziplining and trust falls.

Lexington Homes hosted a model opening at Lexington Towne in Arlington Heights. Guests saw what the buzz was about in “The Heights” and took a close look at some of those single-family homes sprouting up like weeds. Not like weeds necessarily, because these homes are a lot prettier and less annoying.

Birthdays! Timmy McShane gets the first shout-out on Oct. 1. Simon Stein and Ilsa Conover celebrate on Oct. 3, while Jeff McGee and Michael Walsh are b-day twinsies on Oct. 4. Raise a glass for Sharbel Shamoon on Oct. 6, and do the same for Nicole Hajde on Oct. 7.
