August is doing that thing where it pretends to be endless, but we all know the pumpkin spice is already brewing in the distance. The group chats are quieter (can’t relate, mine’s still chaos), the tan lines are fading and suddenly, everyone’s pretending they love fall. But before we swap spritzes for sweaters, let’s take a moment to reflect on the last glorious gasp of summer — because if this crowd knows how to do one thing, it’s how to send summer off in style.
The sun was shining, the golf carts were cruising and the vibes were high as A and N hosted their annual charity golf tournament at Cog Hill — one of Chicago’s most iconic courses. The event brought together familiar faces, friendly competition and, most importantly, generous support for the American Cancer Society.
This year’s winning team — Danny Lewis, Dean Ramoino, Kyle Shimmon and designer Josh Kercher — took home the top prize, proving they’ve got skills both on and off the course. And let’s be honest: they could’ve won a second trophy for best dressed, thanks to Kercher’s fashion-forward flair.
And it wouldn’t have been Lollapalooza weekend without Dylan McDowell making his annual grand entrance. The Coldwell Banker Realtor — known just as much for his impressive festival presence as for his real estate hustle — once again led his ever-growing crew through the weekend’s music-fueled madness like a seasoned pro. He swapped his usual three-piece suit for something a little more … wristband chic.
Obviously, I was at Lolla, too, but VIP has a strict no-inflatable-giraffes policy, so Dylan and I tragically missed each other.
As summer fades and Virgo season rises, September rolls in hot with a birthday lineup that could rival a music festival — and yes, there will be cake. It kicks off with a doubleheader on the 2nd as Dean Vlamis and Sam Jenkins team up to set the birthday bar high! Just when the cake crumbs settle, along comes Ivona Kutermankiewcz on the 6th, followed by Tariq “TK” Khwaja on the 8th. But hold onto your party hats — September 9th is a full-on birthday parade with Larry Steinway, Bob Floss and Dustin Schaff lighting up the day. Then, on the 12th, we’re gifted with four amazing birthdays — Sara Hulsebus, Reno Manuele, Cory Robertson and Dan Gjeldum — a day bursting with positivity and good energy. Paulette Rodriguez keeps the spirit going on the 13th, followed by Michael Cozzi on the 15th. There’s a sweet-16 duo — Mo Dadkhah and Lori Wyatt — keeping the celebration momentum strong on the 16th. The 19th is a total birthday bonanza, featuring Teresa Ryan, Evelyn Fred and Julie Harron. Bill Knapp wraps up the official September festivities on the 20th, but wait —there’s more! Ian Schwartz pops in fashionably late on the 23rd to keep the candles burning.
