Chicago broker Mabél Guzmán has resigned from her post as the National Association of Realtors’ vice president of association affairs, a letter from NAR President William Brown confirmed today.

Confirmed in November, Guzmán’s stint as head of association affairs has been noticeably short. In his letter, Brown noted that “Mabel is going to focus on her business.” She is currently a broker with @properties.

Guzmán will remain as both the association’s presidential liaison to Brazil and an advisor to the RPR Board.

Replacing Guzmán will be NAR’s current liaison to special projects and former vice president of association affairs, Beth Peerce. In his letter, Brown wrote that Peerce “brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Leadership Team.”

Upon the writing of this article, NAR had not responded to requests for comment.
