The 10 most in-demand school districts in DuPage County

Last week, we reported on the Cook County school districts that commanded the highest home prices, and now we’re back with similar analysis for DuPage County.

Utilizing data from realtor.com, our list below compares the median price of the homes in DuPage’s school districts to the county’s overall median price of $350,000. We then ranked the districts based on the premium that homebuyers spend for properties within the district’s boundaries.

Additionally, we’ve included information from the state of Illinois on the districts’ performance and per-pupil spending:

1. Butler SD 53 School District (Oak Brook)

    I think your Gower District median price may be a bit off… Also wondering how Burr Ridge 181 got on the list, as their scores and ratings are much lower than any of the others on the list? What were the selection criteria?

To answer your question, we ranked the districts based on realtor.com’s analysis of median home price, and how much higher the prices were for those districts than the county average; we added the additional information about school performance for further context.
