Stephanie Malmquist’s goal is to be her clients’ real estate advisor for life. Allowing her clients to focus on what’s important, she takes care of the details while looking out for their best interests. “I’m with my clients for life,” Malmquist says. “I show up to support them in their personal lives, and, if we’re lucky, we’ll form a friendship.”
Recently joining Cross Street Real Estate as a senior broker, Malmquist has been in the real estate industry for 10 years. Representing clients mainly on the North and Northwest Sides, including the Rogers Park, Edgewater, Andersonville, Albany Park, Irving Park and West Ridge neighborhoods, she also frequently sells in Logan Square, Beverly, Evanston, and Oak Park. Having previously worked in fundraising and marketing, she combines those relationship-building and communication skills with her interest in architecture and old homes. “My exposure to a lot of different inspection issues and types of homes, paired with my extensive vendor list, covers anything a buyer or seller could need,” she says.
A recipient of the Top Producer award from the Chicago Association of REALTORS® for three consecutive years, Malmquist was featured in Chicago Real Producers magazine in 2025. A member of the LGBTQ+ community, she aims to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for everyone involved in her business, with a focus on the artist community.
A classically trained soprano, Malmquist has performed with numerous ensembles around the city for two decades. When she’s not singing, she’s enjoying a cigar with the Broadleaf Broads, Chicago’s women-only cigar group, which she co-founded in 2017. She is caregiver for a 14-member feral cat colony in her alley. Married to Chicago classical composer Eric Malmquist for 14 years, she is also mother to her 5-year-old son, August.
