2026 Who's Who in Chicagoland Real Estate

Eric Marcotte, Vice President of Residential Lending

New American Funding NMLS # 462310

Bringing the same competitive, goal-oriented mindset to lending that he developed playing college football, Eric Marcotte believes staying successful requires constantly sharpening one’s skills to handle a highly competitive market.

Now a 24-year veteran of the mortgage industry, Marcotte spent time in collections and personal training before mortgage lending. Collections taught him how to initiate difficult financial conversations, while personal training focused on being upbeat and motivational. Today, he combines these listening and communication skills to serve clients across Chicago, Wisconsin, Indiana, Florida and Tennessee, often acting as a rescue lender for complex loans that other companies have turned down.

In 2025, he achieved $50 million in residential lending production, a milestone he reached while managing a midyear transition to New American Funding. Despite the challenges of adapting to a new platform and team, he maintained high communication standards to keep his referral network fully informed. His work has earned him recognition from the Illinois Housing Development Authority as a top lender for down payment assistance in southern Cook County, and he has earned President’s Club honors in each of the last three years he was eligible. He is a member of the West Town Chamber of Commerce and the Northwest Indiana REALTORS® Association, and sits on the committee of One Brick, a Chicago group supporting local nonprofits.

Marcotte and his wife live in Old Town. In 2025 they bought a short-term rental in Nashville, which took some nerve, given the distance; it’s currently running at 75% to 80% occupancy. He shares Bears season tickets with his brother.
