After a career as a marketing and communications manager for General Electric, Sheila O’Malley’s transition to real estate was quite effortless. With 13 years in the industry, she credits her positive mindset as instrumental to her success. “My positivity carries over to my clients and calms any anxieties,” she explains. “It provides structure to the overall transaction.”
A broker with @properties Christie’s International Real Estate, O’Malley represents clients throughout Chicagoland with a focus on the western suburbs. A resident of the area since 2002, she waited until her youngest child started school to choose a career that allowed for a flexible schedule. “My previous experience prepared me in knowing how to handle shifts in the market, communicating with different personalities and providing consistent results to my clients,” she shares.
Recently, O’Malley successfully sold her first community development, the Field Park Collection, with Reverie Homes, one of her clients.
Throughout her career, O’Malley has earned numerous industry awards, including the Impact Award for Outstanding Achievement (2025), the Visionary Award for Outstanding Achievement (2022, 2024), the Platinum Key Production Award (2021, 2022), the Gold Key Production Award (2014–2020) and the Chicago REALTORS® Top Producer recognition (2014, 2015). She is a member of the National Association of REALTORS® and Mainstreet REALTORS®.
Outside of real estate, O’Malley sponsors the annual Pink Out game for the Lyons Township High School girls’ soccer team, which benefits the Karen Dove Cabral Foundation, and donates to the women’s soccer team at Miami University in Ohio.
When she isn’t working, O’Malley enjoys traveling, writing, working out and attending concerts. She and her husband have three college-aged children and are currently surviving their first year as empty nesters.
