What started as a simple curiosity for Sarah Sanchez quickly became her calling. “I entered the lending industry because I’ve always been passionate about helping people feel informed and financially empowered,” she says. “I find it incredibly fulfilling to structure the financing and support my clients throughout the process of buying/refinancing a home.”
A vice president of mortgage lending with Rate in Lake Geneva, Sanchez specializes in guiding first-time homebuyers, move-up buyers and growing families across Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan. “My approach is educational,” she remarks. “I help borrowers understand their options and every step of the process as they make one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives.” She focuses on residential financing, including conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, Jumbo, new-construction and renovation loans.
Recently named to her company’s President’s Club by Victor Ciardelli, CEO of Rate, Sanchez believes her combination of education, communication skills and market knowledge help her stand out from other lenders. “Years of guiding borrowers through ever-changing markets has taught me how to navigate challenges creatively and effectively,” she says. “My clients and partners know I’m dependable, detailed-oriented and committed to delivering a smooth and stress-free loan experience.” Working closely with her team also allows her to stay highly responsive, while ensuring clients receive efficient, streamlined service. “I’m not a transactional lender,” she insists. “I love building long-term relationships and staying connected well beyond closing.”
When Sanchez isn’t helping clients, she loves spending time outdoors; crewing for her husband, Adam, during his ultramarathon races; and hiking with her and husband’s dogs, Mia and Pablo, along the shores of Lake Michigan. She’s an avid volunteer and supporter of Mit Liebe German Shepherd Dog Rescue, where she rescued her two dogs.
