Mike Reimen began his lending career in 1998 after graduating from college. He liked working with people, was good with numbers and had a knack for figuring out ways to make loans work for clients. With help from skilled leaders, he quickly caught on to the business and found inspiration all around him.
“I looked at others in the business doing well and told myself, ‘If they can do it, then I can do it,” he says.
Almost three decades later, Reimen, a home lending officer with Citibank, continues to do the job exceedingly well. With consistently high production levels, he has closed upwards of 2,000 loans throughout his 28 years in lending and is approaching $1 billion in funded volume. He lives by the adage, “If you are going to do something, then do it right.”
“I’ve enjoyed a lot of success, and I’ve done it the right way,” he says.
Reimen always makes sure he helps clients make decisions that are in their best interests. “Integrity is important to me,” he says. “I like to go the extra mile and earn their repeat business and referrals.”
Last year, Reimen reconnected with his previous manager at Citibank to resume his gratifying career with the brand. The transition went smoothly and he quickly adapted well.
“Being part of a strong team helps everyone, and I accomplished this at Citibank,” he says. “I am ahead of my production goals and looking forward to continued success in the future.”
Up front with clients, he keeps them informed of issues that come up and solves problems early in the process to avoid surprises later.
Genuine and accessible, he makes sure clients receive the best loan terms possible, have a great experience and know he is always on their side.
