Maria Kennedy’s career began with a simple conversation that changed her life. While managing a boutique in Lincoln Park, she shared with a trusted client — a mortgage broker — that she was ready for a career change. The suggestion to enter the mortgage industry inspired a path that she still follows over 20 years later.
Kennedy began her career in 2004 as a loan officer assistant, a role she held for nearly eight years. After meeting Neena Vlamis in 2011, she joined A and N Mortgage Services. “Neena believed in me long before I believed in myself; I would not be where I am today without her unwavering support, encouragement and leadership,” she reports.
Now vice president of mortgage lending at A and N Mortgage Services, Kennedy is recognized for her unwavering dedication to clients and Realtor partners. “People trust me with one of the biggest decisions of their lives,” she explains. “I honor that trust by showing up with empathy, expertise and a commitment to getting it right.”
In 2025, Kennedy doubled her business year over year, a milestone she attributes to consistency, partnership and a relentless focus on helping Realtors serve more communities. “December was my strongest month of the year because I stayed committed to my goals and to the people who rely on me,” she says.
Licensed in 13 states, Kennedy is known for her positive, solutions-oriented mindset and her ability to anticipate challenges before they arise. She is a member of the Inner Circle Network and has earned the Five Star Professional award for the past eight years.
