Nina Gonzalez, Mortgage Loan Officer & Team Lead

Guaranteed Rate Affinity NMLS # 1213893

In 2023, Nina Gonzalez lost her son, Niarey. That moment was a turning point in her life, not just in terms of healing but also in terms of faith and purpose. As a result, she founded the Niarey L. Brown Foundation, a nonprofit created to honor her son’s legacy by investing in youth, faith and future leaders.

At the same time, Gonzalez continued raising her two daughters and leading in the business world. She maintained her commitment to her clients with the same quiet strength that she exhibited throughout her 20+ years in mortgage lending, a career that began in 2000 when she worked as a bank teller and a loyal customer recognized her potential.

Today, Gonzalez works with buyers across Illinois, Indiana, Texas, Georgia and Florida, but her roots run deep in Chicago’s West Side and the Near West suburbs. She works in residential lending and often helps first-time buyers, first-generation buyers, families purchasing multi-units and clients using renovation loans. In one recent deal, she closed a complex multi-unit renovation loan for a single mother, demonstrating that the right loan can change a person’s life.

Gonzalez’s efforts have been recognized by Scotsman Guide, Chicago magazine and the West Side Housing Collaborative. She volunteers her time at Storehouse Church, mentors young people in underserved communities and delivers public speeches at homeownership events.

Gonzalez enjoys creating and designing tools to help others heal and grow. In 2024, she launched New Agent Bootcamp, an educational series that helps new real estate agents build confidence and productivity. She recently published “Built by Faith,” a 21-day devotional designed to help others align their heart, habits and finances while purchasing property.

Gonzalez’s story, as she puts it, is one of “resilience, reinvention and calling. Storms don’t stop destiny; they reveal it.”
