
As president of the Chicago chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP), Maria Kharot is the first non-Hispanic person to hold that post in the chapter’s history. A Chicago native and Afghan-American woman, she leads one of the organization’s largest and most influential chapters. “I work at the intersection of public policy, advocacy and education to advance initiatives that promote sustainable Latino homeownership and economic mobility,” Kharot explains. “By collaborating with national and local leaders, I am able to shape housing policy, deliver high-impact educational programs and equip professionals with tools to better serve Hispanic communities.”
A real estate broker, Kharot has over a decade of experience in residential and commercial real estate, title operations and strategic business development. She is the president and CEO of Northshore Title Company, where she’s established a brand built on the foundation of integrity, innovation and empowerment. “The company’s motto is Together We Rise,” she shares. “It reflects the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to build wealth and legacy through homeownership and business.” She is also the president and CEO of Chicago Luxe Group, which is a premier luxury real estate team dedicated to delivering white-glove service to high-end buyers, sellers and investors.
Recognized for a leadership style rooted in mentorship, education and community empowerment, Kharot serves on the senior advisory board for Raising Our Daughters Foundation. As a champion of women and minority professionals in real estate, she hosts educational events, provides executive coaching and partners with fellow leaders to foster growth in the industry. “My work is guided by the purpose to uplift others, expand access to opportunity and build generational wealth through real estate.”
