During her senior year at the University of Michigan, Alondra Guevara broke her pinky toe and spent six months on a knee scooter. The injury forced her to slow down. During her recovery, she read her roommate’s copy of “Flipping Houses for Dummies” and became interested in real estate. By the time she recovered, she knew she wanted to follow her parents’ path and become an investor.
Guevara was born and raised in Logan Square in a large, close-knit family. Her parents invested in four-unit buildings and worked hard to create opportunities for others. After college, she returned to Logan Square and noticed how much the neighborhood had changed. She’s now in the process of buying a four-unit building of her own.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Guevara earned her real estate license. Now, after five years in the industry, she works as a broker with Fulton Grace Realty. She helps clients across Chicago and its suburbs, focusing on single-family homes, condos and first-time homebuyers. A first-generation Mexican-American, she’s especially passionate about serving underserved communities.
Since 2020, Guevara has closed 163 transactions. She was honored with a Latinx Community Award from Fig Factor Media in 2024. In 2025, she ranked eighth in sales at her firm, became marketing director for the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals and was recognized as most inspirational at her local gym, Fit Results.
In her free time, Guevara practices strength training, plays soccer, sings karaoke with friends and walks her husky, Luna. Guided by her faith, she volunteers every third Saturday with a Chicago homeless outreach program. She is also a published author: in the book “Today’s Inspired Young Latina,” she shares her story as a first-generation Latina in the United States.
