Chicagoland Realtor Laura Ann Mitrick has been an expert in both lakefront and city properties for nearly a decade. Now she’s embarking on a new adventure as a founding agent of COMPASS Michigan in New Buffalo. “Bringing COMPASS into the Michigan marketplace has been a dream of mine for over five years, and it’s finally happening,” Mitrick shares. “This endeavor aligns perfectly with my commitment to providing exceptional service in the Great Lakes region.”
Alongside the opening of the New Buffalo office, Mitrick is launching Midwest Collective this spring, which she describes as a community of vetted and trusted real estate advisors and advocates dedicated to assisting customers seeking second homes in the Great Lakes region. Her passion for the region comes from her personal connection to it. “I live the lifestyle I am helping my clients achieve,” she explains, adding, “I finally found a place I never want to leave.”
For Mitrick, real estate is a family legacy. Her brother is a real estate lawyer, her sister manages a title company and her cousins are fellow Realtors. Her own early background in Chicago’s service industry gave her the soft skills to work effectively with clients and the problem-solving and networking skills to smoothly navigate real estate transactions. In addition, Mitrick partners with agents she calls some of the most savvy in the business. “Collaboration is essential to my clients’ success and it shows in my partnerships,” she attests.
At COMPASS Chicago, Mitrick was consistently the top producing team member and earned the 2023 Platinum Award. With English Mastiff Annie, her diabetic alert dog, always at her side, she dedicates time away from the office to advocating for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and people with special needs. She also loves off-roading with her local Jeep Club.
