David Dakoske, Vice President of Mortgage Lending

Guaranteed Rate

In the world of mortgage lending, where every deal is unique, one name stands out: David Dakoske. As the vice president of mortgage lending at Guaranteed Rate, Dakoske has not only carved a niche for himself but has become a trusted second-generation adviser to clients navigating the intricate paths of home financing. “I was surrounded by real estate professionals growing up, as well as watching my father successfully open multiple lending offices,” recalls Dakoske. “My dad spent more than 30 years in the mortgage industry, so when I was ready to make a career move, I had an immediate mentor who gave me great advice.”

Today, 14 years later, Dakoske is thriving at Guaranteed Rate. His biggest professional accomplishment over the years, he reveals, “has been navigating challenging markets. With shifting interest rates and loan programs, staying creative with the new products we’re rolling out has opened up more opportunities and successes for our clients.”

Dakoske’s specialties encompass conventional, government and jumbo loan products and assisting clients with building their investment property portfolios. However, his prowess lies not just in his knowledge but also in the personal connections he forges with clients. “Clients say I am open-minded to their goals and objectives, creating a financing strategy to put the client in the best position to win even in competitive situations,” he points out. “My clients appreciate my team’s approach of keeping a positive mindset throughout each step of the home-buying process. We want to be a resource for life.” Dakoske won Guaranteed Rate’s President’s Club Award in both 2020 and 2021.

Outside the office, Dakoske devotes his time to his young family and volunteering. When time allows, he and his family enjoy skiing in the winter or relaxing on Torch Lake in the summer.
