Raised on Chicago’s North Shore, Mary Lusk offers decades of local insight. Her passion for real estate was sparked by the area’s design showcases of the 1980’s. A wife and mother of three teenage boys who keep her on her toes, Lusk is also founder and lead agent of Mary Lusk Group at COMPASS.

Together with her team, Lusk expertly serves clients on a broad scale. “We guide clients through the process with marked efficiency, using proven systems to get ahead of next steps,” she shares. “We begin each relationship with a formal presentation and are very education-based … sitting down and setting expectations, talking through the timeline and milestones, and allowing an open space for questions is a huge difference maker.” Mary Lusk Group is also skilled in matching their clients with off-market and pre-market real estate, which has proven invaluable in a challenging market.

Despite the pandemic’s challenges, Mary Lusk Group never lost sight of their client-centric values and their production flourished. Spanning the city of Chicago proper and the suburbs alike, Lusk also took the opportunity to expand business into the Chain O’Lakes area. “I was able to introduce city dwellers to a lovely, lake-adjacent community, which presented the option of affordable vacation homes only about an hour’s drive away,” she explains.

The team is energized by client relationships and takes care cultivating them, enjoying a business that is firmly rooted in referrals. More than 90 percent of Lusk’s clients come by referral and the group’s members are frequently included in client housewarmings, birthdays and other celebrations.
