A “one-stop shop” for real estate, Marcus Whiteside says he’s able to provide all the resources clients may need during their homebuying or selling process.

Prior to earning his license, Whiteside worked as a loan officer, underwriter and manager in the mortgage industry. During this time, he developed a passion for helping others achieve their real estate dreams. After deciding he wanted to be more involved with his clients’ journeys, he made the transition into real estate.

Whiteside was born and raised in Chicago and has lived and worked in the south suburbs for over a decade. “I’m not only a resident, but I’m also a consumer. I really enjoy exploring the area I live in and patronizing local businesses,” he shares. “It gives me an opportunity to see how the areas are progressing, and it also gives me an opportunity to meet other residents and share information and experiences.”

Clients say Whiteside is a wealth of real estate information and an invaluable resource. “I’m involved in every facet of the process so that their experience is as easy as possible,” he says. “I’m patient with explaining things. I try to educate and inform. I’m also honest.”

Whiteside’s client strategy is centered around setting clear expectations and listening to client needs. “I have an exceptional ability to listen and communicate,” he says. “It gives my clients confidence that they are in good hands.”

When not in the office, Whiteside enjoys spending time with family and friends. An avid music lover, he frequents concerts and enjoys playing house DJ when entertaining at home. His philanthropic endeavors include YMCA, the Chicago Park District and the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
