A lifelong Chicagoland resident and proud Southsider who now lives in Glen Ellyn, Katie Foss spent the majority of her working life in sales — be it through retail, advertising or real estate. Facing change, she decided to take the leap. She enrolled in real estate school, set a three-year goal and now boasts a decade of success through client-centered negotiations and strategy.

Though her reach spans more than 20 communities annually, Foss primarily serves clients in the Chicago metro area and its western and southwest suburbs. She works with clientele at all price points and has the geographic footprint to place them in the best town to fit their personal needs. Known for her response time and rapport-building, she has an overall reputation for communication that is both business-focused and fun. “Most people say I keep them in the loop from the beginning of the transaction until post-closing … I work hard to maintain a good relationship post-closing too,” Foss says. Her clients come largely through referrals and savvy social media marketing.

She credits her outgoing, upfront and honest demeanor for much of her good fortune. “People are looking to us to be a trusted advisor … not just tell them what they want to hear,” notes Foss. She has steadily grown her business and was the second-highest individual producer with her firm’s Glen Ellyn office in 2022, earning Founder’s Club status with Baird & Warner for the fourth time. What’s more, she achieved this as she also welcomed her first child into the world, merging the height of her personal and professional accomplishments.

Foss is a member of multiple Realtor organizations including the National Association of Realtors and is an animal lover and rescue advocate. She volunteers with Bombshell Bullies Pit Bull Rescue and has two rescued pit bulls of her own. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling the world and experiencing different cultures. “There is always a new country on my bucket list,” she shares.
