When Domenica Koch began her real estate career 27 years ago, she liked the flexible schedule and ability it gave her to be available for her kids. But then she fell in love with the business and made it a career.

Koch, a real estate broker with @properties Christie’s International Real Estate, is licensed in Illinois and Wisconsin. Her office is so close to the border that she has some clients looking for properties in both states.

Recipient of an @properties Christie’s International Real Estate 2022 Impact award for reaching almost $10 million in sales volume, Koch has lived and worked in Lake County since she first started selling real estate. She is a listing specialist for residential single-family homes and represents from first-time to move up buyers and sellers.

Before changing careers, Koch worked in the corporate world, in the imports department of a hotel supply company.

“My clients feel that I care about them and have their best interest in mind,” she says. “I won’t pressure anyone into a sale, but provide facts and knowledge for them to make an educated decision.”

New to @properties, she says the brokerage has given her the support she needs in marketing listings. “Clients see our signs everywhere,” she says. “We are a growing brand, and I’m glad to be a part of it.”

With nearly three decades in the industry, she has experience and knowledge handing everything from listing bank foreclosures to negotiating short sales to selling auction properties. “I am the go-to for all of my clients questions, even after their sale is complete,” she explains.
