With a combined 57 years of real estate experience, the team leaders of The FOOTE Team at COMPASS established their team in 2016 to take their business to the next level. Amy and Jim Foote treat every one of their clients as if they were one of the family — although the pair did help one of their children purchase a home recently, and Amy says she bawled like a baby when the sale was completed (something she admittedly doesn’t do for every client).
“We’ve been doing this long enough that we’ve become the “family Realtors” for our clients,” she says. “My greatest hope is that our clients feel like family before, during and after the transaction.”
As much as The FOOTE Team welcomes clients into their family, their business truly is a family affair: Amy and Jim are married and have five children together; their daughter is their marketing director, and Jim’s sister is a Realtor on the team. Amy and Jim even met because of real estate — they were set up by Jim’s uncle, who was Amy’s managing broker at the time.
The Footes grew their team and business by 27% in 2022. “I’m of the mindset that if you think the market is bad … it will be bad,” Jim says. “If you think it’s good … it’s amazing the business you will see around you.”
The Footes say one of the key components of their success is the technology available to them at COMPASS, which they say is second-to-none. “It allows me to do what I really want to do, which is spend time with my clients,” Amy shares. “Not struggle with tech.”
