Michelle Carr, Real Estate Broker

Baird & Warner

Upon mulling a friend’s suggestion that she become a real estate agent, Michelle Carr liked the prospect of working for herself and regularly meeting new people. Her friend noted that she possessed the knowledge and personality to excel in the field. Twenty-one years later, Carr has enjoyed record growth in the industry.

Before real estate, Carr worked in human resources and executive support, refining her decision-making and communicative skills. She now serves residential customers with specialties in those relocating, as well as investors and new construction. Carr primarily works in the markets of Will County (where she has lived her entire life) and Grundy County. Described as fun to work with, responsible and organized, she notes her ability to connect with people and make them comfortable with the process as key to her success. “They know that I have their best interests at heart. This leads to satisfied clients who use me repeatedly and refer me to their friends and family,” she says. Though Carr works solo and her clients enjoy direct, one-to-one access, she has a vast network of professional affiliates she’s ready to refer to her clients to best achieve their goals.

The past two years were markedly fruitful, as Carr singlehandedly helped numerous families and closed more than $12 million in sales in 2021 while maintaining her customer-service focus. She has been recognized for her hard work throughout her career. Not only did she receive the rookie of the year commendation in 2001 with Coldwell Banker Honig-Bell, she has also earned numerous accolades from Baird & Warner, including being consistently recognized as a top office producer, and a member of the Chairman’s Club from 2017 to 2019 and Founder’s Club from 2020 through 2021.

Carr is a member of her local and national Realtor associations and actively volunteers with Joliet’s Morning Star Mission, Greyhounds Only Rescue, and is an ally volunteer with the Joliet Pride Network. In addition to playful times with her Italian greyhound, Enzo, Carr enjoys concerts, theater and outdoor activities.
