As a resident of the North Side for over 30 years, Patrick Carney regards himself as an expert in property values in the city of Chicago. “I’m able to price properties so they sell quickly,” he says. “I love this city and know the ins and outs of it to better assist my clients.”
Carney began his career as a broker after gaining experience rehabbing and flipping various properties. It was during his time in the property rehab world that he learned the importance of getting one’s property ready for the market. Fifteen years later, he’s one of the most client-friendly brokers in the business. “It’s one of the best decisions that I have ever made. I truly enjoy helping people sell or buy property,” he says.
“I have the ability to really connect with my clients. I consider myself to be a true people person,” Carney says, noting that he always encourages his clients to share their ‘must-haves’ and ‘must-not-haves.’ “I treat everyone I encounter with respect as if they are members of my own family.”
Carney says most of his clients are repeat clients, which he considers a testament to his abilities as a real estate broker. “Many of my clients have commented on the fact that I make them feel that they are my most-important client,” he says. “I make it a priority to be available to my clients when they need me.” Additionally, Carney has many wonderful connections with lending agents and real estate attorneys and loves to refer his clients to them to help facilitate their transactions and ensure the entire process goes smoothly.
Carney lives with his wife of 27 years in Andersonville, where they raised their three (now adult) children. He enjoys all things Irish, especially Irish football as he was born and raised in County Mayo, Ireland. Carney and his family return to Ireland yearly to see his family and friends.
