Matt Flaherty, Senior Home Lending Advisor

Chase Bank

To Matt Flaherty, the highest professional compliments he receives are being referred to his clients’ friends and family or having past clients reach out to him for their next home purchase or refinance. A senior home lending advisor with Chase Bank, he has been in the industry 23 years and just celebrated three straight years of setting personal records for customer satisfaction ratings and volume of funded loans. This includes $225 million of loan volume in 2021 and $1 billion funded at Chase. “I could not achieve this level of success without the support of my longtime assistants Nick Natale and Melissa Beale, along with Kim Robinson, our client-care specialist,” he insists. “I am also grateful to Chris Rudolph and Dave Poletti for joining our team this year.”

After receiving his degree in economics from the University of Virginia, Flaherty worked in financial services, where he enjoyed building relationships and advising clients. Recognized as a professional who consistently keeps his clients’ best interests in mind, he helps everyone from first-time homebuyers purchasing with 3% down to private clients using Chase’s specialized jumbo mortgages. “We have a variety of incentives ranging from relationship-rate discounts to homebuyers grants up to $5,000,” he explains. “This provides me the opportunity to provide additional value to my clients.”

Flaherty has received Chase’s President’s Club and National Achiever awards for the past 17 years and won the Illinois Mortgage Bankers Association’s Best Mortgage Loan Officer award in the large bank category in 2016.

Flaherty resides in the Ravenswood Corridor with his wife, Mary, and their dog, Yogi. After COVID travel restrictions were lifted, he and Mary took a trip to their favorite vacation destination in Kona, Hawaii, where he became obsessed with different coffee varieties and unique brewing methods.
