Jennifer Cummings, Broker Associate

Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty

Appreciating great architecture and design, Jennifer Cummings became interested in real estate when purchasing and renovating her own investment properties. “In my spare time, I would go to open houses, design centers and The Merchandise Mart to see the latest trends, always dreaming of my next project,” Cummings remembers. “I decided to use my past media career experience of building and growing a business and developing strong client relationships into a new life in real estate.” Now 16 years in the industry, she is a broker associate with Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty.

Specializing in residential real estate, Cummings covers Wicker Park, Bucktown, Ukrainian Village, West Town, West Loop, Old Town, Lincoln Park and Lakeview. “I have lived in more than 16 neighborhoods throughout the city, which gives me a unique perspective,” she shares. From purchasing a loft to buying a single-family home to restoring a 1875 row house, she brings personal experience to her clients.

Known for her great attention to detail and going above and beyond to help sell homes, Cummings has the ability to navigate this fast-evolving market to get deals closed. “I have done yard work, met with contractors, brought in my own staging supplies and use the best photography possible because I am in it for the long run,” she explains. “My goal is to make selling or buying as easy as possible for my clients while also having a little fun along the way.” A member of Women Belong, a networking group supporting women in business, Cummings relies on repeat business and introductions from past clients to build her relationship based business. “Knowing that I’m not just an agent but a good friend who makes her client’s lives easier during stressful times is really what it’s all about.”

Cummings moved to Chicago from Vancouver, Canada, over 20 years ago and is proud to be a dual US/Candian citizen. She enjoys knitting, art and fashion, as well as traveling, cooking, entertaining and curating events using her collection of vintage china and silver.
