Raised in a family that has cultivated a funeral home business since 1908, Maureen Burns has an entrepreneurial spirit that was destined to shine through. Previously a proud stay-at-home mom of more than 18 years, Burns worked as a real estate assistant when she first entered the industry. She faced a life change in 2010 that led her to join the real estate team of her childhood friend, Emily Sachs Wong. For the past 11 years, she has worked tirelessly to achieve what she never could have imagined.
Servicing all customer and property types throughout the Chicago metropolitan area, Burns finds that clients associate her with top-notch communication, strategic negotiations and consummate professionalism. “I hear my clients’ needs and help them reach their goals,” she says. “My clients know I am reachable 24/7 and they appreciate my concierge real estate services.” Describing her business style as results-driven and hands-on, Burns takes care to manage expectations, remain transparent and be present. Burns connected with more clients than ever before in 2021. Currently a top-producing agent with @properties Christie’s International Real Estate, Burns surpassed her 2021 goal to reach $30 million in sales volume. She’s also received many awards, year after year, for her work as a team member of The Emily Sachs Wong team and is a member of the Chicago Association of Realtors.
Burns is well-traveled: In addition to earning stamps on her European Union passport, she has lived in Los Angeles, New York, Iowa City, Florida and Chicago. A self-described tennis fanatic, she is a member of two women’s tennis teams. Burns also studied with the NYC Institute of Culinary Education’s Natural Gourmet Center, earning credentials as a trained vegan chef. Maureen resides in east Lincoln Park.
