Motivated by her passion for helping others, Inez Drayton approaches real estate from a therapeutic perspective, applying empathy and faith to all of her interactions. The managing broker/owner and community association manager of Angel Apartments & Condos Inc., Drayton specializes in property management and sales in Chicago and the southern suburbs.
With 24 years of real estate experience and a degree in psychology, Drayton has a keen ability to anticipate her clients’ needs and provide them with the answers they seek. “I believe that arming the client with as much knowledge on the buying and selling process is the key to a strong Realtor/client relationship,” she says, adding that educating property owners about new regulations during the pandemic was crucial to avoiding unit turnover.
Throughout 2021, Drayton and her team worked tirelessly to meet the needs of both owners and residents. Despite the demands of running a full-service real estate company and safely showing properties amid a global health crisis, she and her colleagues helped a record number of first-time homebuyers. “We were extremely fortunate,” she believes. “God will place some incredibly special angels in your path to steer you on the right course and keep you moving when you want to give up. These past couple of years have challenged us all, and family and friends have been vital to our happiness and survival.”
As involved with her community as she is with her work, Drayton volunteers with her church. During the pandemic, she and her company coordinated deliveries of gift baskets and necessities for the families living in the properties they manage. Prior to the pandemic, she volunteered on medical mission trips to Haiti and Honduras.
