Gerardo Tapia-Quiroz, Lead Broker, The Lewis Group Chicago

Dream Town Realty

“Home is truly where the heart is, and helping clients sell, buy or rent new homes are what made the real estate industry appealing.” So says Dream Town Realty’s Gerardo Tapia-Quiroz, who has helped innumerable clients throughout his career.

Quiroz was raised in Evanston, and 25 years in the Windy City have provided him an intimate knowledge of its diverse neighborhoods. He “relishes the satisfaction of helping his clients” in all of them. Being bilingual is a plus: It not only helps the buyers and sellers, but also generates more opportunities for him.

His “entrepreneurial go-getter attitude” led the Mexico City native to his chosen field, and he has been licensed since he was 23. He works with buyers of single-family homes, multi-units and luxury condos. Clients in the South Loop, the West Loop, Streeterville and Lincoln Park have benefitted from his humble professionalism, as have those in Lakeview, Uptown, Edgewater, Evanston, Lincolnwood and Skokie.

Quiroz appreciates the mentoring he received from team lead Danny Lewis. He previously dabbled in construction and property management, roles that introduced him to real estate and in which he learned the importance of deadlines. Attending the NAR convention in San Diego also provided a valuable overview of the industry.

A winning personality is a key component of real estate success, and Quiroz personifies this. Clients praise him as efficient, reliable, helpful, responsive, attentive and accessible. He describes his approach as a mix of fun and business, and his patient attitude is at the heart of it. “I consider my clients as family, and I will continue to help them and ensure they are satisfied even beyond the transaction,” he says. Those who buy their first home make him the proudest, Quiroz explains, adding, “There is no better feeling than that major accomplishment of helping one to settle down in a beautiful space they can call their own.”

“Turning 30 this past year,” Quiroz muses, “has made me realize that we are the future of this wonderful industry.”
