Patrick Teets doesn’t just sell a property; he sells the lifestyle that comes with it. “I live, work and play in a majority of the markets that I serve and am able to advise my clients on all the neighborhoods’ amenities,” explains Teets, vice president of sales at Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty.
Working with buyers, sellers and developers throughout the city’s North and West sides, Teets recently expanded his service area to include southwestern and southeastern Florida, doubling his 2019 sales record and placing among the top 10 agents in his brokerage. Every year since 2018, he has ranked as a top producer by the Chicago Association of Realtors. “Persistence has been the No. 1 quality that has paved my way for success,” he explains, noting that he’s never let a “no” stand in the way of closing a deal, even if it means pursuing an alternate strategy. “I try to be proactive in my approach and add value to any situation that I can.”
Since joining the industry five years ago, Teets has gained a keen understanding of land-acquisition, new-construction, condo and single-family-home markets and continues to stay abreast of the market’s ebbs and flows. Throughout his career, he’s been quick to adopt any technological innovations that could improve his efficiency and allow him to provide a superior level of service, and strives to maintain a professional yet fun business style. “At the end of the day, it is a relationship business, and I want my clients to feel comfortable working with me,” he says. “It is typically quite a long journey from initial consultation to closing, and I want it to be an enjoyable experience where my clients know they can trust me.”
Outside of work, Teets enjoys staying active and spending time with his family and friends.
