As Chicago natives, Burt Bhairoo and Lauren Dayton, broker and senior vice president of sales, respectively, with Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty, specialize in the South Loop, Gold Coast and Irving Park. True local experts, Dayton has lived in both the Gold Coast and the South Loop, and Bhairoo grew up in Irving Park. Dayton was the listing broker at the South Loop building where Bhairoo was the property manager. She convinced him to get his broker’s license in 2014, and have worked together ever since.
Now, the pair make up the Lauren Dayton Group, a duo who is known for their hands-on approach and can sell even the most challenging listings. “We have had other brokers refer us to a listing they can’t sell,” explains Dayton. “We have an extensive portfolio of being the second, third and even fourth broker on a property. We have a successful strategy to sell the listings, and have proven it time after time.”
Helping their clients accomplish their real estate goals is the team’s main focus. Dayton is goal-driven, and truly enjoys helping her clients make the best decisions when buying and selling property.
The team believes they work better together. “Two is always better than one,” says Dayton. “Two to cover all showings, two to price, two to give an opinion.” Both Dayton and Bhairoo team up for all their clients. Together, they are process-driven, have a proven to-market strategy and a penchant for selling challenged listings. Their strategy includes their go-to home improvement checklist, staging, pricing and MLS strategies.
As an expert on new construction, Dayton has earned a reputation with some of the toughest developers in the city. “They know hundreds of brokers,” she explains. “It’s an honor when they call me to represent them; they could call anyone but they call me.”
When the duo isn’t selling homes, Dayton can be found pursuing her interest in interior design and decorating, and Bhairoo loves to travel, attend concerts and have dinners with friends.
