Diana Matichyn, Team Leader

Coldwell Banker

With her marketing background, the real estate industry was a natural fit when Diana Matichyn, team leader with Coldwell Banker was looking for a career that offered her many opportunities. That background, she says, made marketing and selling properties not only interesting and fun but also rewarding.

When she came to the United States 11 years ago, moving to Chicago was a big change but it was that change that motivated her to work hard and go above and beyond to get the job done for her clients because as she put it, her life depended on it. “Now I have boy and girl twins and my job as a mom is to set an example for them, support them and support the communities I serve,” she says.

Her clients like her energy, enthusiasm, experience and tech-savvy marketing strategies. They say they find her approach refreshing as she’s in constant communication with them and goes above and beyond to accomplish a successful house sale.

“I am a very straightforward person and will share with my clients what I think honestly either about the home they are about to put an offer on, or what price to list their home for,” she says and it pays off.

In 2020, she sold and closed 77 homes, which was almost twice as many clients as she had the year prior.

“I was able to achieve that even during pandemic times because we changed our approach and did everything possible to sell our clients homes,” she says. “I own a high-quality 3D camera so all our listings get a state-of-the-art virtual tour. We doubled down on internet marketing and all of this while supporting our local businesses and community.”

Outside of work, taking care of her toddler twins is the most rewarding and challenging experience she says. “Interestingly, they have listened to me on the phone negotiating sales so many times that I think they can be a part of my team in a few years,” she says. “They also are now occupied with “talking to buyers.”
