In 2003, Bethanny Alexander’s first year working in real estate, she had at least one closing a month — phenomenal success for a newbie who assumed it would be a temporary gig to balance out her acting career.

“My goal was to make my mortgage payment each month,” says Alexander, a Realtor with Baird & Warner Real Estate. “That was pretty much my business plan that first year. I had no idea where this journey would take me.” Once her real estate career took off, however, she left acting and never looked back.

Alexander grew up in the La Grange area, went to college in Elmhurst, lived in the Oak Park area for several years, and has resided in Westchester for the last 16 years, making her comfortable working with buyers and sellers throughout the near west suburbs. This is particularly helpful when working with buyers transitioning from the city to the suburbs, as well as relocation clients, both of whom may not be familiar with the area. “Having moved 20 times in my life, I understand it’s about finding the right community, as well as the right home,” says Alexander.

As difficult as 2020 was, it motivated Alexander to implement new strategies that resulted in the fourth-best year of her career. Alexander commented, “Having to reinvent the way I did business during the pandemic infused my business with a new energy that was really exciting!” Alexander has made Baird & Warner’s Founders Club, representing the top 10% in the company for four of the past five years. “My goal isn’t to rise above the competition,” Alexander says. “It’s simply to do the best I can, make my clients happy, and help them achieve their goals.”

When not assisting her clients, Alexander can be found working in her garden, cooking for friends or traveling. She is founder and president of Grassroots Garden Group in Westchester and a board member and fundraising chairperson for the Westchester Food Pantry.
