Mo Dadkhah is entering his 12th year as an attorney and real estate broker. When he graduated law school in 2009, job offers were scarce and low paying. He decided that although risky, he would open his own law firm right out of law school. Without prior experience, Dadkhah began growing his business by networking, covering court cases and learning along the way. He took the real estate broker’s exam almost immediately after starting his law firm in order to get a second job and make ends meet.
In 2014, he saw that true one-on-one coaching was missing in the brokerage market and opened Main Street Real Estate Group with the belief that many agents lacked the training required to build a successful real estate business. Main Street has since grown to nearly 70 individuals.
Throughout 2020 and 2021, Dadkhah has been proud to own a growing brokerage during a quickly shifting market. Though COVID-19 shutdowns removed the ability to train and coach agents in person, Main Street has seen a 10% increase in agent count. The brokerage worked hard to create systems that allow agents to market and get coaching remotely. “We want to show that in any market we can adapt to help our agents and our clients navigate the market effectively,” he says.
Dadkhah has earned his fair share of accolades during his time in the business. He has been a Chicago Agent top producer for the last five years and earned recognition as a Power Player by Chicago Scene magazine. Main Street was named to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies. Top Agent Magazine once featured Dadkhah on its cover, and he has been recognized as one of the top 50 attorneys by The Top 100 Magazine.
