Providing top-quality service is Lisa Petrik’s intention with every client she assists. Whether it’s a first-time buyer, a luxury condo downtown or a person seeking a suburban oasis, Petrik, a real estate professional with Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty, will put in the hours to find the perfect property. If it means FaceTiming with out-of-towners to explore neighborhoods and help them discover their perfect fit, or writing letters to property owners in a building that has no inventory, she’ll do it. “I will get us to the finish line, even if it means carrying a dresser down a flight of stairs,” says Petrik. “I will get the job done.”
Last year was Petrik’s most successful yet, bringing $17 million in sales. She was inspired to make real estate a fun experience after she read a 2018 study that called homebuying the most stressful event of modern life. She prioritizes the experience as much as the end result, and she thrives on communication, setting clear intentions and clarifying the process from the process. During the transaction, she communicates with clients to ensure they feel comfortable, sending countdown-to-closing-day messages or possibly interior design ideas.
Petrik learned the vibe of many neighborhoods in the city and suburbs as a showing agent for a top team, visiting 10 to 12 listings and hosting two to four open houses on Saturdays and Sundays. “I have been famously called the ‘open house queen’ of my office,’” she says. “I really grew a clientele from being face-to-face at properties.”
A big fan of Chicago, Petrik lights up when she talks about the city. “Chicago is unlike anywhere else,” she declares. She adds that she believes the energy and love for the city will ensure clients’ homebuying experience will be the foundation of their best memories to come.
