Relentless in pursuing their clients’ real estate goals and dreams, sisters Kimber Galvin and Drew Westergreen go the extra mile for everyone they represent, whether a first-time buyer or a seasoned investor. Co-founders of K+D Homes, Galvin and Westergreen grew up cutting their teeth on industry buzz, learning from their real estate broker parents how to thrive in this competitive industry. Together the sisters have closed hundreds of transactions across Chicago’s affordable and luxury markets. This past year they transacted nearly $30 million in sales, which included representing a 24-unit new-construction development in Wicker Park that earned a nomination by Chicago Agent magazine as one of 2020’s developments of the year.

Born and raised in Lincoln Park, Galvin and Westergreen have an intimate knowledge of the city and surrounding suburbs. “We grew up in the city,” they note. “Chicago’s diverse neighborhoods were our playgrounds. With both of our parents in the business, we began our careers with connection to a real estate network that’s advantaged our clients from the very beginning.”

Galvin earned a master’s degree in English literature and began her real estate career as an assistant to a top-producing Chicago broker. Westergreen entered the industry 10 years ago, when she purchased and rehabbed her first investment property, a three-flat in Chicago’s Jefferson Park community. Both women worked short stints in the service industry and attribute some of their successes to the strong people skills honed by their experience in that industry.

The sisters have earned many accolades over the years. They rank among the Chicago Association of Realtor’s top producers, are Berkshire Hathaway Leading Edge Society members and were recently named among Crain’s Chicago Business’ most influential real estate brokers.

While the sisters deeply appreciate these accolades, more valuable is knowing that they can favorably impact a client’s quality of life with the successful purchase, or sale of a property. Their guidance can be instrumental in moving forward to realize dreams and identifying investment opportunities that create wealth and future security for their clients.
