Laura Cartwright, Broker/Agent

@properties

In real estate, every client represents a unique story and a specialized set of needs, lifestyle factors and dreams. For Laura Cartwright, a broker/agent with @properties, 21 years after starting a career as a special education teacher and eight years after becoming an agent, she sees more than ever that creating a true connection with each individual client is her gift. And Cartwright is giving that gift back to the northwest suburbs of Chicago in spades.

“I grew up and attended school in Palatine, so I know the neighborhoods and schools here quite well,” Cartwright says of her early beginnings. “In my time teaching special education, I knew the value of a strong team, of making a connection with students and families and working together to create specialized attention and planning. I wanted to bring that to my real estate career.” Cartwright also knew she wanted to follow in her father’s footsteps as a gifted salesman. “Moving into this space made me feel like he would have been proud of me, making my path of selling in this specific, caring, customized way.”

Clients proclaim Cartwright’s empathetic approach to communication and support and feel truly cared for while working with her. Not to mention, it doesn’t hurt that they also say she’s “smart as a whip.” Thorough, calm, level-headed and genuine, Cartwright endeavors to make a unique impression on clients, whether they are first-time buyers or empty nesters. Having doubled her sales in 2020 from the prior year, Cartwright has earned her stripes (and the @properties Road to Rolex, Founder’s Club and other accolades). A Top 1% Agent with the North Shore-Barrington Association of Realtors, she is feeling truly fulfilled and at home with her trademark approach of personal connection and thorough preparation.

“Clients deserve this attention, just like students and family,” says this devoted mom, wife and agent. “I am so grateful for the people who believe in me.”
