During his 20-year career in the hospitality industry, David Mitria was a partner in multiple restaurants throughout Chicago’s various neighborhoods and came to appreciate the many distinctions of individual preferences. Mitria, who is client-oriented and results-driven, stepped away from the hospitality industry to become a broker six years ago. “The biggest takeaway from my career in hospitality was customer service,” he says. “The client’s needs should always be put first, and each one requires a personal approach. What one person prefers, another may dislike, and there are some clients who need more guidance than others.”
A native of Chicago, Mitria grew up on the North Side and has lived in numerous areas of the city, including Lakeview, Ukrainian Village, South Loop, Lincoln Park and the Gold Coast, where he currently lives. “Growing up in Chicago helped me walk in the shoes of almost all of my clients,” he says. “From buying my first investment property to starting a family and searching for that forever home, I’ve experienced most of what my buyers and sellers go through during the process of buying or selling a home.”
Mitria works closely with Ryan Preuett at Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty, which helps his business significantly. “I am fortunate enough to work hand in hand with one of Chicago’s top industry leaders,” he says. “Regardless of how many years you have been in real estate, the landscape is constantly evolving, and having a partner who you can learn from and collaborate with is invaluable to me and my clients.”
