The varied experience Cory Tanzer, Serena Phillips and Andrew Stoffer bring to the real estate business has been instrumental in their success. Tanzer previously had a career in retail management as a district manager for Target, managing stores with more than 5,000 employees. Phillips worked in the media and hospitality industries, and Stoffer worked both inside and outside sales, experience he says helped prepare him for client service.
The way the team has structured their organization gives clients access to any of them when needed; clients say they appreciate the group’s honesty, tips and tricks, as well as the fact they treat every client like family. “Our ability to listen and connect with clients is what separates us,” Tanzer says. “Since our clients feel comfortable and are able to talk freely with us, we are able to help them, and they trust us, which in turn leads to more clients from them.”
Despite the challenges of the pandemic, 2020 was a strong one for the Cory Tanzer Group, which finished as the No. 1 agent by units sold in the West Loop, Little Italy, University Village, Bridgeport and Near West Side. Stoffer finished his first year in the business selling a dozen homes valued at just over $2 million, and Phillips doubled her business, reaching $5 million in sales while helping Tanzer achieve a personal best of $24 million and 68 units sold.
In 2020, Tanzer was named a Top 1% producing agent by the Chicago Association of Realtors, as well as the No. 1 agent by units sold in the 60608 zip code. The Main Street Organization of Realtors also acknowledged him in the Top 1% of 2020.
Outside of work, Phillips and Tanzer enjoy taking their dogs to local dog parks, and Phillips and Stoffer both enjoy running. Tanzer also enjoys spending time with his wife, Sara, and son, Theo.
