Since purchasing RE/MAX Suburban and acquiring Precision Title, Chad and Sarah Gilbert have channeled their entrepreneurial spirits into growing a full-service brokerage and title company. As the largest RE/MAX company in Illinois, 15th largest RE/MAX in the nation and top ten title company in Illinois, their expert team of agents and service focused-title company continues to outpace the masses across Chicagoland.
After a year of investment and expansion in 2019 that added 20%+ growth, they entered COVID ready to support their business at any cost. “I’ll never forget March of 2020. We immediately, over-night, shifted gears and put a plan into action to protect our agents, clients, attorneys, and staff as best we possibly could” says Sarah.
The results speak for themselves, with no reduction in hours or services and zero layoffs. “Our business quickly took off during COVID and our agents and staff connected with clients and with us in any way they felt comfortable. Whatever support they needed, our staff, managers and leadership team were there to help. From tech implementation and expanded remote support services, to virtual happy hours to alleviate stress, we did it all” Gilbert says.
With over $1.3 billion in transaction volume, the brokerage ranks among the 2020 Swanepoel Mega 1000 and 2020 REALTrends 500. “Our agents have the experience to navigate a dynamic market – for many of them, this wasn’t the first time they had seen uncertainty. They were prepared to handle last year, and they are prepared and even thriving in this this low-inventory market,” Chad says.
RE/MAX Suburban specializes in creating environment for the best entrepreneurs in the business to thrive. “Our agents average over 19 transactions annually each. They want freedom and professionalism surrounded by productive agents, so we’ve made that our purpose.”
With altruism at the forefront of its business model, RE/MAX Suburban has a long-standing partnership with the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Collectively they have raised over $600,000 for the hospital. Even in 2020, RE/MAX Suburban agents donated more than $57,000. “We are so incredibly grateful for our agents and partners that support our mission at Lurie’s. This never wavered in 2020 and we view this as one of our proudest accomplishments of last year.”
