From building Chicago’s seasonal Jet Ski rental industry to serving as a partner for the Wavefront Music Festival, Ramsey Al-Abed has been an entrepreneur for over a decade. Since making the move to real estate, he’s found success by remembering that no one can cap his potential other than himself.

Al-Abed has always had an entrepreneurial drive, but it was his fiancée who helped him uncover his true potential. For nearly five years, he has built a lucrative real estate business, currently working as an associate broker for Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty. Having been a city dweller for most of his life, Al-Abed has become an expert at helping renters and first-time and luxury buyers navigate Chicago’s expansive list of neighborhoods. He’s particularly skilled at working on deals involving condominiums and multi-unit properties.

Al-Abed’s ability to make clients feel at ease throughout a difficult process sets him apart from the competition. “I am always respectful and empathetic while keeping my clients’ best interests at heart. I stop at nothing to get them the best deal possible,” he says. “My clients’ experience is always my top priority. They can work with anyone else, but they chose to work with me, and that’s something I don’t take for granted.”

At the end of the day, Al-Abed attributes a great deal of his success to the experts who have helped him hone his craft. He’s been fortunate enough to work with some of the top producers in the business, who have provided him with tools and exposure throughout the years. Additionally, the executive vice president and managing broker of Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty, Jim Miller, has been an integral mentor in his career. “They’ve taught me aspects of the business that take some agents years to learn,” he says.

Outside of work, Al-Abed enjoys being an advocate for the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and The Anti-Cruelty Society of Chicago. He’s also an avid soccer player.
