Maria Devins, Real Estate Broker

Baird & Warner

Before turning to a career in real estate, Maria Devins worked as a makeup artist in film and TV and as a national sales representative for luxury cosmetics brands. “Whether as an artist, a salesperson or a broker, my first priority is always my clients,” Devins says. “They expect and deserve 100%, and I give them 1,000%. I have to earn their trust and, most importantly, maintain it.”

As Devins’ children got older, she decided to pursue real estate full time. “Buying a home is one of the most important purchases anyone can make,” Devins says. “My family and I had a bad experience buying our first home. We didn’t feel protected or guided by our agent, and I didn’t want anyone else to go through that.”

More than 13 years later, Devins is a listing and buyer’s agent, a certified Real Estate Negotiation Expert, and a local and global relocation specialist. She has achieved numerous designations at Baird & Warner, including being named to the Chairman’s Club, President’s Club and Vice President’s Club and being recognized among the top 5% of producers. She has also won Chicago magazine’s Five Star Professional award since 2012 and is a 2020 Daily Herald Readers’ Choice award recipient. “To me, it isn’t just a job. It’s about helping people and making a difference,” Devins says. “Home is more than just a place. It’s where you make memories, and I am blessed to be a part of it. I’m with my clients from the beginning to the end and beyond. I am truly their broker for life. I am so grateful for this amazing journey, and I hope to do it for the rest of my life.”

Despite her many successes as a Realtor, Devins’ proudest achievement is her family. “They are everything to me. They are my greatest joy,” she says. She is an active supporter of Realtors Against Homelessness, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, The Anti-Cruelty Society and Jellystone Bark’s
Rescue Rangers.
