John Noldan, Executive Vice President of Mortgage Lending

Guaranteed Rate

After dipping his feet into politics, John Noldan realized that he’s a people person and that numbers come naturally to him: two important components of mortgage lending. Noldan, executive vice president of mortgage lending with Guaranteed Rate, pursued a career in the industry after a friend who worked in the business suggested it would be a good fit. “I jumped right in and never looked back,” says Noldan. “I truly enjoy talking to my clients and doing face-to-face meetings, which a lot of loan officers shy away from these days.”

Noldan handles all types of residential loans, including FHA, VA, jumbo and conventional. He has become a preferred lender at several real estate offices in the Chicago area, building strong relationships with managing brokers and agents. Both his referral partners and clients feel comfortable calling him any time of the day with questions or needs, knowing he is happy to take care of them. “Something about living in the community that you work in makes you take more ownership,” he says. “You treat clients and referral partners more like family than business acquaintances.”

Voted the Best in Business Loan Officer in 2015 by the Illinois Mortgage Bankers Association, named to Guaranteed Rate’s President’s Club and Chairman’s Circle for multiple years running, and the winner of a Scotsman Guide award for the past 11 years, Noldan has experienced all of the industry’s ups and downs during his 19 years in mortgage lending. “I know what works and what doesn’t,” he says. “Also, I have learned that having a great team behind you is the best way to grow your business.”

Active in the community, Noldan is an ambassador for Elmhurst Hospital and a member of the executive boards of Catholic Charities and Loving Outreach to Survivors of Suicide, in honor of his late cousin and dear friend Patrick Ryan.
