Jumping into real estate straight out of college three years ago, Yassine Taib has since tripled his volume and built a network of international clients and industry professionals. As the owner and property manager of Essential Property Management and a broker with Option Realty Group, Taib works with multi-unit investors from around the world as well as first-time home buyers and renters interested in becoming buyers within the Greater Chicago area. “Being able to speak French, Arabic and English has allowed me to connect with clients from a variety of backgrounds,” says Taib.
During the past year, Taib was involved in over 25 sales transactions and has averaged six rentals per month. “Ever since starting Essential Property Management in 2017, my rental business has skyrocketed, and we have about 100 units in our portfolio,” he says, adding that prior to founding his own firm, he was tasked with temporarily managing a 13-unit building in Edgewater, including renting out all the units, and ultimately earned a permanent contract with the owner.
Through both Essential Property Management and Option Realty Group, Taib has established connections with contractors, inspectors, lawyers and other real estate professionals, all of whom can help ensure a seamless transaction from start to finish. He is a fierce negotiator, and as a new homebuyer himself, he is able to share his experience with other young professionals, showing them the benefits of property ownership. “Being able to purchase a two-unit property at the age of 24 was one of the proudest personal accomplishments of my life,” he says.
Taib is a graduate of the University of Illinois with a double major in political science and sociology. He is a member of the Chicago Association of Realtors and a passionate soccer player and fan.
